Welcome to Northern Pines

Northern Pines is a year-round Minnesota United
Methodist Conference Camp located in the north central area of Minnesota.
Northern Pines is situated on a 40 acre site on the east shore of Fish Hook
Lake, in the woods and towering pines near Park Rapids, in the area known as the
Heartland of northern Minnesota and is an ideal setting. The headwaters
of the Mississippi River in Itasca State Park is just a short drive.
Whatever the season or the reason Northern Pines is a beautiful place
to be and "be-coming." We invite you to a tradition of gentle persuasiveness.
It's the kind of place that grows on you because of the experiences that
happen here. Northern Pines is here for you to experience a summer camp,
retreat, family reunion or holiday, church picnic, business meeting.

Our Location
Northern Pines is located in the pine woods near Park Rapids, Minnesota. Park Rapids is at the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and Minn. Highway 34.
ACA Accreditation
Northern Pines is accredited by the American Camping Association (ACA). The ACA accreditation program educates camp owners and directors in key aspects of camp operation, particularly those related to program quality and the health & safety of campers and staff. The standards establish guidelines for needed policies, procedures, and practices. The camp is then responsible for on-going implementation of these policies.

Our Mission
Northern Pines Assembly Grounds is Holy Ground. Here, among the tall pines, at the edge of the water, people experience God's creation, meet Christ, grow as Christians, and return to their daily lives renewed and responsive to the challenges of faithful living.

More Than Camping...
Northern Pines is used year-round by a variety of groups. The grounds are ideal for family gatherings, church events (of every denomination), business meetings, community groups, special interest groups, and even weddings. We can provide lodging, meeting space, recreation options, and food service to meet the needs and expectations of your group. The possibilities are endless.
