Northern Pines Camp offers a variety of fun activities for everyone.
Water Activities
The waters of Fish Hook Lake and the surrounding rivers offer great places for water fun. Many groups have us pack lunches for them before they head out to canoe the Crow Wing or Potato Rivers. On calm evenings groups have canoed the lake to the Fish Hook River and into Park Rapids. Our waterfront area is lifeguard supervised and offers swimming fun on those hot summer days.
Games
In playing games from group building activities to just plain having fun, Northern Pines offers a large play area with volleyball, basketball, softball, soccer, kickball, tether ball and open space for your group use.
Sharing God's Love
God's presence is evident anywhere you are at Northern Pines. Groups gather around the campfire nightly to sing, share and enjoy the beautiful sunsets across the lake. Our chapel also overlooks Fish Hook Lake and is a meaningful worship place for groups of up to 100. God's love is shown in some of the life-long friendships that have begun at Northern Pines.
Offsite Adventure
As well as the many activities offered onsite, Northern Pines campers involved in Treehouse camps, family camps and other select camps venture off site for horseback riding, bike riding along the Heartland Trail, and exploring the headwaters of the Mississippi River at Itasca State Park.
Winter Wonderland
In the winter Northern Pines has resources for broomball on the lake, cross-country skiing and sledding at the golf course across the street, and plenty of space for making snowmen, having snowball fights, or making snow angels.
